Tim Kavanagh
Host/Executive Producer

As a local entertainer, Kavanagh is popular for his work in local independent films, game shows, plays, musicals, improvisational comedy, voiceovers, and event hosting throughout New England, New York and Quebec.

Ironically, Kavanagh began his Burlington acting career with the Champlain College Theater Department while attending the school. He went on to perform in numerous theater productions, appearing on the Flynn Theater stage with Lyric Theatre and also with other local theater companies.

Since the mid 1990’s, Kavanagh has written and performed in countless interactive murder mysteries, several of which he co-wrote, such as "You Bet Your Life" and "Bye Bye Love." He is frequently hired to entertain audiences aboard The Spirit of Ethan Allen III as well as at local restaurants, clubs, and social gatherings.

Kavanagh's voice can be heard locally on radio and television commercials. He is frequently called upon to record voiceovers by numerous production companies including: Mt. Mansfield Television, Shadow Productions, Cooper AV, and Digital Media Creations.

Having hosted numerous live events, Kavanagh was acknowledged on Entertainment Tonight, for serving as Master of Ceremonies for Jim Carrey at his “wrap” party for the feature film, "Me, Myself, and Irene." He has also hosted local events throughout the state including the Vermont Teddy Bear Company’s popular “Meet the CBS Survivors” event. On television, Kavanagh is one of several hosts of the annual Children's Miracle Network Telethon on WCAX-TV Channel 3.

Kavanagh’s comedy career continued when he joined forces with local comedy troupe Kamikaze Comedy in 2003. Most recently he performed improv comedy at The House of Blues and The Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago.

A graduate of Champlain College, Kavanagh currently works as an account executive at Vermont's largest television station, WCAX-TV. He resides in Burlington with his wife Sherry and three sons.

A graduate of Rensselaer, Bill has starred in/directed/edited/written multiple productions, including: Kill, Xtreme Running, Canadian Beauty, “are you done?” and “hey, who stole my cheese @#$% damnit! I was going to eat that! You guys have no respect for other peoples’ property!” When he’s not involved in production, he likes to act, direct, edit, and write creative works for TV and film. During his free-time, Bill flies to the Moon with Lance Bass of NSync, reads books he’ll never purchase at Barnes & Noble with his study partner Lindsay Lohan, and enjoys Japanese hibachi with Christopher Walken. Bill has received the Synsimian Award for Excellence in Animatronic Monkey Impersonation, and an honorable mention at the Academy Awards in 2004 as a Best Boy Grip for “Unspool My World,” a tale of an overworked Head Writer who goes crazy and decides to combat evil with protein, salad and Bleu Cheese dressing.

Born and raised in Baldwinsville, New York, Mark received his teaching degree at SUNY Cortland. After two years of teaching in Syracuse, Mark moved to Vermont on a whim, but mostly to find out what the hell a “creemee” was. He was a little disappointed. After bouncing around the state for a bit, Mark has settled down in Burlington and teaches math to 9th graders at Champlain Valley Union High School. Mark first got into television when Eric Kinniburgh asked to join him in creating a cooking show. Eric, the budding chef, and the cooking- impaired Mark, enjoyed the success and popularity of their show “Soup2Nuts,” which ran for about two years on public access cable channel 15. Since then, Mark has been running a camera on channel 15’s Hottest Game Show “Survey Says,” created and produced by LNS’ very own James Vincent Polli. Mark waves his hands around feverishly and sweats a lot, but mostly flips cue cards for Tim and gets in the way at writers’ meetings. Mark’s next goal as a flatlander-turned-Vermonter is to try to “get there from here.”

Singing, dancing, and generally acting ridiculous have been specialties of Annalisa's since a young age. She has appeared in various musicals, variety shows, and other craziness, most notably a tour with the Middlebury College Gospel Choir in Orlando, Fl, and several appearances as lead tenor of Maiden Vermont, a local a cappella group. In addition to writing for LNS she has written for many local and national publications, including South Burlington's The Other Paper and Mailbox Magazine. When she's not writing, she is making a fool of herself at the front of a classroom or busy behind the camera as the owner of Parent Studios. Her friends know (and dread) her punniness and particular prowess with knock-knock jokes. "I'll tell a knock-knock joke; you start."

SWM #604, this zesty Scorpio loves long walks on the beach and oh, look at the time... Critically acclaimed in the hit series "You’re going to get hit by lightning if you don’t get down from there" for his realistic depiction of a Meteorologist on the edge, Chad enjoys bucking popular opinion, surprising atheists and using his eccentricities to fuel the creative process. Raised by wolves, this Vermont native spends most of his time in the rivers and mountains, jumping from precipices with a parachute and performing various random acts of adrenalin. This has provided him with a host of outdoor accreditations and “Don’t ever do this” stories. His background in photography, wilderness education and Youth counseling, pared with music, design tech and Science, make him a creative addition to our writing/acting staff. An artist and innovator by every definition, Barb descends from a German rocket scientist whose designs in gyroscopic steering nearly kept man off the Moon in 1969. Always looking for ways to repay humanity for the mistakes of her ancestors, she joins LNS as s photographer and segment producer. After mastering Spirograph, Barb studied journalism at Saint Michael’s College. She has 11 years of TV production experience and airs work on the Fine Living & Resort Sports Networks, C-SPAN, The Air Force & Warrior Networks and all the local channels. Although once interested in acting, she quit after kids tore the tail off her Smugglers’ Notch Mogul Mouse costume. Ultimately, we hired Barb because she won’t choke in the presence of great celebrity. Gardener to Arnold Schwarzenegger, she has danced with Bruce Willis, skied with Marielle Hemmingway, worked onstage with Carlos Santana and baked cookies for Clint Eastwood. Friend to lost animals & billionaires alike, Barb has the time, energy and skill to help us steer LNS where no one’s flown before.

A wife, mother of 3, and self-proclaimed “Math Freak” known for her resourceful use of scrap lumber and rope to build a set, Sarajean falls squarely in the left-brain analytical world, consistently spills over into right-brain creativeness and, on extremely rare occasions, pure genius. A third generation Native Vermonter, she loves the Green Mountains and has yet to tire of the view. No stranger to hard work, she spent 5 years worth of paper route savings on her first horse at the age of 17. She worked her way through an Associates Degree in Business from Trinity College of Vermont and is currently working toward her Bachelors in Something Other Than Business. An audition at RETN and a filmmaking class at CCV brought her to the field crew of LNS. By day she teaches graphic design & print production at a local technical center and claims 16 years previous experience in the industry. When she has no commitments to oblige, she can be found in front of her Mac learning new software or overtly expressing her opinion about some mundane subject.

Wendy suspected she had a talent for writing when she wrote a poem about a dead bird during a summer poetry workshop. Her suspicions were validated when another one of her masterpieces, a note she forged to get off the hook for skipping school in the 9th grade, almost worked. Since those early days, Wendy has enjoyed lots of creative endeavors in the literary and theatrical worlds. She’s been in numerous plays, does improv comedy, and can also be seen every summer aboard the Spirit of Ethan Allen III, performing the murder mystery dinner theater with LNS host Tim Kavanagh. Her “day job” is as Company Copywriter for The Vermont Teddy Bear Company (who knew she’d one day be able to parlay those early writing talents into a real career!) In her spare time, Wendy enjoys traveling, boating, kayaking, drinking rum and cokes, Thursday nights, and sleeping in.
