Have A Family Adventure Listening To Nature
Author: adminFamily outings are long remembered. Children will tell stories about their family vacations when they get older. Even a brief family outing to a local natural resource can form lasting memories. As a parent, you want to spend quality time with your children. Younger children will appreciate the effort that you make. Teens and Preteens may find that this takes away from other plans that they have made. Someone in the parental role may need to goad preteens and teenagers into going on the trip.
There are many places where families can go to listen to nature. Even a quiet suburban backyard hears the sound of many songbirds passing by. The suburban backyard’s natural sounds are often interrupted by the sound of a passing car, a passing train, or even other people. In order for a family to experience the sounds of nature in a relatively artificial noise-free environment, you need to go far out into the woods, desert or prairie. The environment does not matter. What matters is that you need to be far enough away from human civilization that you will actually be able to hear the sounds of nature without any interruption from modern life.
When a parent goes out with his family, he should expect to spend a few hours in the environment he has chosen. He needs to make sure certain things are not taken along on the trip. Radios, iPods, and mp3 players will not enhance the experience. Digital camera are an obvious exception to this otherwise infallible rule. If you or any member of your family happens to see a rare animal or bird, you will need proof that you saw what you claimed to see. Anyone who hears the tale will ask for photographic evidence of what you saw. It is just human nature. You thought this was good? Brace yourself: Preteens Illegally Signing Onto Facebook!
